ABOUT US
Senior Marketing professionals including:
Jim Sanderson
Jim spent 15 years as Creative Director/Copywriter at J. Walter Thompson, San Francisco and 2 years as Executive Creative Director at Foote, Cone & Belding Direct before launching Sanderson Studios in 1997.
He came up with the “Pin Drop” for Sprint. It’s an advertising classic. But, has he thought of anything else? Yes. “A Crash Course in Auto Insurance” for 21st Century Auto Insurance. “Dancing Scissors” for Supercuts. “Newton’s Cradle” for Micro Focus which generated over 7000 leads. “Hold the one that holds the record” for Goldwin Golf. “It runs rings around anything else” for AT&T Digital Cable. “Scream Saver” for Robert Half International. “Corke Diem” for Williams-Sonoma. The “Real People” radio campaign for Cost Plus World Market. And more. Effective, efficient ideas that help clients reach their goals. That’s what you’ll get when you work with Sanderson Studios.
Bryan Forman
If you’ve heard of the brand, chances are he worked on it. Bryan’s art direction stands out as some of the cleanest, simplest and most compelling examples you’ll come across. For instance: a print ad for Kodak that folds out to show the panoramic capabilities of their new camera; a see-through billboard for Ray Ban that not only sells the product but demonstrates it as well; a bar of Lava soap in the grubby little hands of Pig Pen from the Peanuts Cartoon series. Simple images that tell the story and sell the product.
Anne Truscott
Anne has over 20 years of experience as an advertising strategist, working for both agencies and clients. She spent the majority of her advertising career at Chiat/Day, in their Los Angeles headquarters, where she was a senior partner and the Director of Account Planning. Over the years, Anne has developed strategies for brands such as Taco Bell, Unocal, Engergizer, Nutrasweet, Sprint, AirTouch Cellular, Herbalife, Blue Cross of California and Philips Sonicare.
While at Chiat/Day, Anne spearheaded a joint project with Yankelovich and Partners on generational marketing that culminated in a Time magazine cover story on Generation X.
On the client side, Anne was VP Consumer Marketing for There, a revolutionary online experience that allows people to interact and have fun in a life-like, virtual world.
Most recently, Anne served as the head of advertising for 21st Century Insurance where she was responsible for advertising and media for TV, radio, and outdoor. 21st Century Insurance sells auto insurance directly to consumers and is one of the largest auto insurance providers in California.
Anne has a BA Economics and an MS in Statistics from UC Berkeley.
Dana Galullo Sanderson
Although armed with a degree in International Economics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Dana’s varied resume makes her especially well suited to find, feed, and nurture the clients of Sanderson Studios: Lead Vocalist with Lester Lanin Orchestras, NYC. Manager of Joe Allen/Orso Restaurants, NYC. Sales Associate with a financial startup in NY as well as with Merrill Lynch in Boston. Creative Department Wrangler and Broadcast Producer at JWT/SF. Sales Rep at San Francisco Production Group/SF.
Dana co-founded Sanderson Studios in 1997.
Judy Taylor
The best advertising message is useless unless your target audience sees it. Judy’s media experience and creativity make sure they do. Beyond buying the traditional vehicles—TV, radio, outdoor and print, she’s also on top of current ways to hit the mark via the internet and guerilla media.
Spanning 30 years, Judy’s media background includes senior positions at Gardner Geary Coll Advertising, KSL Media, Ketchum Advertising, J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather, Clorox and Leo Burnett.
The accounts she has helped build include Fisher-Price, Williams-Sonoma, Sprint, Cost Plus World Market, California Lottery and Jenny Craig Weight Loss, just to name a few.
Jay Cornell
Jay has a wide range of experience in multimedia and publishing. He has done HTML and graphic production work for clients such as Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Chevron, Accellion, Gomez, BrightScale, Charles Sparks + Company, The Northern California Independent Booksellers Association, Performant Financial Corporation, Commerce One, DIVA Systems, Verilink, Smith & Hawken, Hewlett-Packard, AXA Rosenberg Funds, UpShot.com, and Gap Inc.
